"Southeastern collectors are most familiar with Camilla Armstrong's colorful tablescapes. However, collectors from the Northeast are quickly becoming familiar with her playful imagery and bold use of color. In the recent years, Camilla's paintings have undergone a transformation. Today, Camilla Armstrong is incorporating some of her traditional imagery into a more abstract setting. Her newest series, Images for the Journey, is an iconographic representation of images expressing her hopes, dreams, faith, struggles, and life experience. She calls them Story Paintings. It is her hope that they tell everyone's story, not just her own. She intends her work to touch upon the holy and hopes that through it, people come to a deeper awareness of their own images for the journey."
